The first clash between attorneys
occurred over the testimony of Dr.
Selby I. Strange, autopsy surgeon of

Dr. Strange testified that he found
two fragments of a bullet behind the
woman's right temple and that the
course was such as to indicate im

challenged the statement, and sharp'
friction ensued between the girl's at
torneys and the prosecution. Deci
sion of the defense to fight every step
of the stale's case against Dorothy

' superintendent of Bend's schools
: now carries with it a permanent lo
cation in offices especially designed
for the school executive's duties.

occupies the suite of offices which
has been fitted up in the new union
high school building These are
situated at the right of the main or
north entrance to the building.
The well furnished suite consists
of a main office with a counter over
which administrative business of the
superintendents office will be con
ducted, a private office for the offi
cial with a thick carpet upon which,
supposedly, either tea, hers or pupils
may be "called" when occasion de
mand, and a commodious fire proof
vault.
Across the corridor from these of
fices are those of the union high
school principal, rooms which wil! be
ready for occupancy by the time
