Dog Likes Playground,
Will Not Stay In Line
Every dog has his day. so It is said,
and there is one dog. yellow In color,
that is having more than his day In
Bend just now!
This dog. although not a member
of an acrobatic menagerie, gets as
much "kick" out of life sliding down i
a chute on the Held school grounds
as do the children.
Although he can climb the ladder
leading to the slide, and is able to
slip down the slick surface in a very
a mmendable manner, this dog has '
not yet learned to stay in line, as do
his children playmates.

yellow dog hurriedly goes down the .
slide, without prompting from his
playmates, then races back to the
front of the waiting line of children,
eager for another descent.
Just who is the owner of the yel
low dog was not known by a group
bl children playing on the slide to
day, but they admit that the "pup"
gets much fun out of the play apparatus.

village, for the last month, digging !
in Walkemup mound, were leaving !
here today for Albany. Oregon, where
they expect lo probe Into the Interior ,
of a mound near there.
With many important discoveries
to their credit, the researchers were
exhibiting an agate maul, which they I
found at the base of a third Indian
village at Walkemup mound, und
Which they believed to be very lare.
They dug three trenches from the
top of the mound, two cast and west
and one connecting trench north and 1
booth, discovering evidences of at
least 20 dwellings dating back prob-j
ably several hundred years.
