of rresbytcrian Ladies' Guild
Brings Many Laughs Small
Actors Are Well Trained.
The Presbyterian church auditor
ium was filled last night with an ap
preciative audience which enjoyed j
every minute of the "Tom Thumb"
wedding entertainment staged by
Sliss M. A. Fell under the auspices
of the Ladies' guild. Interest in the
doings of the well trained children
was increased by the fact that a ma
jority of the grown folks in the au
dience were watching their own chil
dren act.
Children's love of "dressing up"
was never better satisfied than In
this entertainment, in which all of
the characters wore "grown up"
clothes, evening and wedding gowns,
or dress suits and stovepipe hats. The
arrival of each new character pro
voked a gale of merriment among
the children in the audience, which
'was shared with a little less abandon
by the elders. 1
Someone evidently had been whis
pering local gossip to the director,
for the rejected suitor, the bachelor
friends of the groom and the old
maids bore very familiar names.
