Manager Curtis thinks the number
who will Blart In tho tournament will
be about IS.
Drawings will bo mado Friday and
announced In Fridays' paper. The
drawing will be purely a matter of
chance and no changes will be made
later. First-round games may be
played at any time after the draw
ings are announced.
Balls will be kept at the Y. M. C.
A. and contestants will go there for
them when their games are arranged.
After the match the winner will re
turn the balls to the gymnasium and
announce tho score to the secretary
in charge., Two out of three sets
must be won to decide matches in
the first and second rounds. No um
pire will be needod for first-round
games, but if one is desired, the play
ers may choose anyone who is sat
isfactory to both. It is planned that
most of the first round should be
played this coming Sunday, but time
will be allowed up to the following
Friday.
The decision as to whether there
will be doubles is up to the contest-
onts. If enough teams pair off.a
schedule will be arranged. Report
your doubles teams to the secretary.

PRESENTS that the undersigned,
owners of a majority of all tho laud
embraced within the boundaries of
the Irrigation District horeby pro
posed, and being also owners of the
land irrigated by means of wator
secured through rights from tho
waters of Squaw Creek and Its tribu
taries, all within Deschutes County,
Oregon, horeby respoctfully petition
the Honorable County Court of Dos
chutes County, Oregon, to form an
Irrigation District as hereinafter
more fully sot out; and each peti
tioner, for himself, horeby states
that he is tho owner of land Irri
gated, suscoptiblo of Irrigation or
for which he holds a valid wator
right all within the boundaries here
inafter set forth and doscrlbed; and
we further declaro, each for him
self, that Iti8 our purpose to form
an Irrigation District to provide for
the construction ef a system for
tho Irrigation of said lands herein
after described or to provide for
the betterment, reconstruction, ex
tension, purclia.se, operation and
malntaiiiance of ditches, canals,
flumes, head-gates and other works
already constructed or to be here
after constructed, or to assume, If
necessary, as principal or guaran
tors, any indebtedness thnt may
hereafter be legally Incurred by said
Irrigation District; and your peti
tioners further declare, that It Is
our united purpose to organize an
Irrigation District under the pro
visions of Chapter 357 of the Gen
eral Laws of Oregon for 1917, and
under any rother acts or laws
amondutory or supplemental there
to. Including Chapter 389 of the
General Laws of Oregon for 1919;
your petitioners further request that
the Irrigation District so to 'be
formed, be named and designated
The Sisters Irrigation District and
that the directors to be elected at
the time of the organization of said
district shall be chosen from the
signers of this petition and that
this Honorable Court shall declare
said Irrigation District to compose
one voting precinct and that the
sole and only polling place for said
proposed district shall be designated
by the County Court at a central
location in said Irrigation District
near the town of Sisters.
