Whereas, the couucil deems it expedient and necessary to improve Division Street from the north line of Franklin Avenue to the north lihe of Kearney Avenue; Hill Street from the south line of Delaware Avenue to the south line of Kear ney Avenue; Harriman Street from the north line of Franklin Avenue to the south line of Kearney Ave nue; Greeley Avenue from the east line of Harriman Street to the west line of Division Street: Hawthorne Avenue from the east line of Harri man Street to the west line of Di vision Street; Irving Avenue from the northeasterly line of Oregon Avenue to the west line of Division Street: Kearney Avenue from the west line of Harriman Street to the west line of Division Street; Ore gon Avenue from the easterly line of Bond Street to the west line of Harriman Street; all in the City of Bend. Oregon, and Whereas, heretofore the council did require the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for an appropriate improvement and estimates of the work to be done and the probable cost thereof; and Whereas, upon the council so doing the City Engineer did forth with prepare the same and did file such plans, specifications and esti mates in the office of the Recorder; and Whereas, the council has exam ined such plans, specifications and estimates and now finds such plans, specifications and estimates to be satisfactory; now, therefore. Be it further resolved, that this resolution of the council declaring its purpose to improve t'.e afore said streets, shall be kept on rec ord in the office of the Recorder, and Be it further resolved, that the Recorder do, and is hereby in structed to give notice of the pas sage of this resolution by causing the same to be published at least once in a newspaper published in the city; and Be it further resolved, that the City Engineer do. and be is hereby instructed, within five days from the first publication of this resolu tion, to cause to be conspicuously posted at each end of the contem plated improvement a notice headed "Notice of Street Improvement." which notice shall contain in legible characters a copy of this resolution showing the date of its adoption. and upon his so doing said Engineer shall tile with the Recorder an affl davit of the posting of said notice, stating therein the date and the place where the same have been posted.
