part, Monday.
The program for the day's activi
ties which wil start with the big
parade at 10 a. m. from the Hippo
drome and end with the big smoker
at the B. A. A. C. In the evening Is
ready to greet the workers.
Several ' hundred workers of Cen
tral Oregon are expected to be In
line of march, headed by local
Prof. Mahoney. H. E.,Nordeen will
be marshall of the day. The line
will form at the Hippodrome.
Following the parade Hon. Eu
gene E. Smith and Denton G. Bur
dick will address the workers In the
auditorium of the Bend Amateur
Athletic Club on topics of Interest
to organized labor. While the pa
rents are being entertained at the
gymnasium the kiddies will enjoy
Mary PIckford on the screen in "Hul
da From Holland," to be shown at
the Liberty Theater. ' This program
will last until 2 p. m. and the chil
dren up to 16 years will be guests
of the management of this movie
house.
The pill smashing contest between
the TImberworkers nine and the ag
gregation specially selected from
Central Labor Council Is attracting
considerable attention among the
union men. The game will be held
at the depot grounds at 2:30 p. m.
The big event of the evening will
be the smoker at the gymnasium
when Fred Gilbert of Bend will mix
with Lee Morrisey of Seattle at 145
pounds. Gilbert has been constantly
training for this hard event. Mor
risey has arrived in Bend and will
be In readiness for the big event. '

of the biggest and most interesting
ever held in the state. - Last year
