400,000 POUNDS WILL BE I'SED

M'HCTEM .(UXTY, ESTIMATES
FARM' BUREAU. '
That, the . farmers of Dechutes
county will need in the neighbor- j
hood of 400,000 pounds of sulphur
for use on alfalfa lands during the
next year; was the decision reached
Saturday night by members of the-
Dechutes -County Farm 'bureau, at
their meeting at Redmond. This
quantity, it Is estimated, will be suf
ficient to reenforce the soil of 4,
. 000 acres, equal to the amount used
during the ' past season. A com
mittee was appointed to get figures
on the amount needed by the indivi
dual fanners.
Addresses were given by Cuy Dob
son, of Redmond, and R. A. Ward,
of Bend, on the Banker-Farmer
mixer, to be held September 1.
