most careful search of her person !
for possible hidden documents. :
Methods used in making these mill

pretty generally known that but little
respect was paid to the feelings of
modesty, which were natural on (lie

In "The Unpardonable Sin" Miss

one of the most repulsive characters
that has ever been represented on
the screen.! Article by article, down
to (he last filmy garment, her clothes
are removed, despite ber protests and
despite her desperate struggles. The
Bcene has been photographed through
a dlaphram of silk, and the two
characters appear In silhouette. It

Captain Norman Worth, formerly a

over a newspaper announcement of
a meeting to be presided over by
Herman Wolff, at which a collection
will be taken to purchase the island
of Ventura, a bankrupt winter re

of a socialistic community.
On attending the meeting that ev

by the speech of Barbara Bozentn,
a beautiful young girl who is helping
Wolff becnuse of her earnest belief
In the communistic experiment.
Norman volunteers to secure funds
to buy Ventura. He tries to secure
financial aid from hjs father, but
meets with a flat refusal, and is
ordered to leave the house until such
time as he gives up these ideas; but
(he father tells Norman's sister that
'the boy will get his Island nnd a
lesson with It."
It develops that an unknown Indi
