When Pauline Frederick, the fa
mous Paramount star In motion pic
tures, appears In her newest vehicle.
"Fedora," at the Liberty theatre on
Thursday as a one-day special at
traction, the patrons of that play
house will see one of the most dra
matic pictures ever shown in this
city. This Is a picturization of Sar
dou's famous play, which he wrote
especially for Sarah Hurnhardt in
1SS2, and in which she starred with
enormous success for many yars.
It is an ubsorblngly Interesting story
of love and intrigue in Russia, and
tho various scenes are filled with
thrills and exceptional heart appeal.
The various roles are portrayed by
unusually clever screen players.
"America's Answer," which Will
be presented at the Liberty theatre
Wednesday and Thursday, January
29-30, Is not the ordinary press
agented film play. It is a chapter
of the great drama of the war, regis
tered by U. S. signal corps photog
raphers. The picture was made and
is presented by the division of films,
committee on public information. In
order to show the millions of con
tributors to the several Liberty
loans, the purchasers of thrift and
war stamps and those who have so
generously given in other ways for
the needs ot the war just how the
great sums have been expended and
what, in a physical way, has been
accomplished In France during the
