DEFENDS PICTURE.
To ihe Editor: For the benefit of
the ifew who have rend the article
criticising "A Daughter of the Gods,"
In the Labor Bender, we would say
that any man or woman who can find
f a nit with a screen production that,
has been praised the world over and
found perfect by all censor boards
and by President Wilson, who toon
hla wife and friends to see It, and who
not infrequently gave expressions of
the pleasure enjoyed rrom the Deauti
ful snectacle. alone will convince the
people of Bend that the picture is all
it Is claimed to be, the most perfect
picture on the screen.
As to the writer of this article In
the Labor Bender, we mistrust such
mock modesty and there must - be
some other motive besides ignorance.
The theatre in Question Is not afraid
of your moral squad, so send them
on, as we know they will enjoy them
selves and discredit the maliciousness
of the would-be censor.
