Every man registered under the draft law who has changed his rosldonce or postotf.ro address should immediately, without fail, notify his local board of his prcsont address so that he will recoive tho Questionnaire he is required to fill out under the new draft regulations. This applies to all registered men even those previously exempted or discharged. All previous exemptions and discharges from tho draft are automatically revoked on Decem ber 15. Failure to answer tho Question naire and return it to the board with in the seven-day limit will endanger a man's right to claim exemption, re gardless of whether he did not re ceive the Questionnaire. Hence it is urgent that every reg istered man whose address has been changed should, for his own protec tion, at once notify his local board of his change in address. 'Registrants are bound by law to keep themselves advised of all pro ceedings in respect of them, and fail ure to do so may result in their losing right to claim exemption or discharge." SEN. Crescent News. FOOD CONSERVATION NO LONGER A THEORY PORTLAND, Dec. 3. "Wheatless and meatless days in every restau rant, hotel and boarding house in Oregon should no longer be a theory, but a fact." This is the declaration of Acting Federal Food Administrator W. K. Newell, who intends to see that the light of publicity is turned upon all eatinig places which do not observe the Hoover rules on meatless Tues days and wheatless Wednesdays. "There is no longer any excuse for not observing the simple requirement of the United States Food Admin tration," said Mr. Newell. "The pub 11c is now familiar with the Hoover rule and Its purpose, and is'glving Its hearty support to the eating placeB observing the wheatless and meatless days. It Is even becoming critical and resentful of places which do not do so. We have received a number of complaints from different parts of the state in regard to restaurants and ho tels not making any attempt to ob serve the wheatless and meatless days. We are now making a list of these unpatriotic places, with a view to publishing their names in their own communities.
