REDMOND, Nov. 19. The annual meeting of the Crook and Deschutes County Agricultural Council, which is to be held In Redmond, on Decem ber 13, I attracting the attention of the farming communities of both of the two counties and the agricultural agent is the recipient of many letters Inquiring about the oounty agricultural council, what it is, what It was organized for, what good It will accomplish, and how can the respective communities get aid through it. The questions are answered briefly as follows: The County Agricultural Council is an association of people interested in rural affairs, which has for its purpose the development of a more economic agriculture, the establish ment of community ideals, and the furtherance of all efforts of the peo ple, the state, and the government for the well being, prosperity and happiness of country people. At pres ent, membership in the council Is open to one elected delegate from each community club, farmers or ganization, breeders' or growers, as sociation, grange, farmers' union, or unorganized community. The council has the usual officers and an executivve committee, usually consisting of six members. Each member is usually charged with lead ership in some particular project authorized oy the committee. Such projects may be livestock' improve ment, boys' and fc'.rls' club work, farm sanitation, home economics work, horticulture, soil improvement, livestock, farm crops, marketing, co operative purchasing, farm labor, rural credits, etc. .
