Vandevert, Mrs. Alfred Hanson, Mrs. V. A. Forbes and Mrs. H. H. DeAr mond. Delicious refreshments were served. Kensington Mrs. W. R. Speck entertained Thursday afternoon in honor of Mrs. G. A. Yokum, the occasion being Mrs. Yok urn's birthday. The after noon was spent in sewing. The fol lowing guests were present: Mrs. L. D. Wlest, Mrs. H. M. Greiner, Mrs. Walter Coombs, Mrs. W. -C. McCuiston, Mrs. O. C. Henkle, Mrs. H. B. Ford, Mrs. H. G. Farris, Mrs. L. A. W. Nixon and Mrs. A. G. Pow ell. Dainty refreshments were served. Five Hundred Three tables of fit hundred were arranged at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Anderson on Wednesday evening, when they entertained the following: Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Hen kle, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Ford, Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Farris, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. W. Nixon and Mr. and Mrs. Guy McReynolds. Mr. Nixon won first prize and Mrs. McReynolds con solation. The stock of the new corporation is placed at $15,000, fully subscribed. The incorporators are G. P. Putnam, D. B. Putnam and R. W. Sawyer, all of Bend. With the change of business form to a corporation It is further an nounced that R. W. Sawyer, who has managed the business for G. P. Put nam for the past two years, has be come a part owner. Mr. Sawyer is secretary of the corporation and will continue as general manager of the business.
