duplicate volumes at auction at the
Anderson galleries here, today and
tomorrow,
Huntington possesses probably the
moat remarkable and valuable li
brary In the country and one of the
finest In the world. ' It Is believed
that before he has done, his collec
tions will he unrlvallftd hv thai of I
any collector, past or present.
Huntington bought a million dol
lars' worth of books from the Hoe
collection alone. He paid half a
million cash for the Duke of Uenven
shlre's library and has bought a
dozen other world famous collec
tions from which ho has skimmed
the cream and disposed of the bal
ance. He employs a small army of j
cataloguers and assistants and spends
a fortune annually for the care of
his books.
It Is believed that Huntington In
tends to center his main collection I
at his homo In Uoa Angeles.
