Tbb Fenian optrostlons have taken a new
aspect, at Oswego, New Ydrk. Several boxs
of a ponderous, nature, and marked "ma'
cbisery," having been received at that place
directed to Patrick Regan, a prominen
Fenian, the Government authorities thought
it advisable to investigate. Tbe boxes were
found toontain 140 Springfield rifles, which
were accordingly transferred to-the United
States fort. It Is. ascertained ! that several
hundred -had been already distributed before
the detectives discovered the business.
A New York telegram of May 19th, says
