On the Meacbam Road through the
Bluo Mountains tbe snow is, in places,
from four to five feet deep, and badly
drifted on some sections of it. The
snow up the Willow Creek canyon,
on the Ruckle & Thomas Road is
about eighteen inches deep; at tbe
summit, it is about throe feet, and
down the Umatilla River it offers no
impediment to travel. An important
cut off has beon recently made on this
road. Instead of climbing oat of the
Umatilla canyon, below the Warm
