Summit Flat, which is located on the bead
of Orimci' Creek, in the Boise tniues, were

an eight-stamp mill, driven by water, on

.nagan's' claim n the "Mammoth,"
" Specimen" and " King;" lodes on- ix
hundred feet each. The firs.t lode is locate!

tributaries of Grimes' Creek flow out of too
Grimes Creek Moun nine; the other two M-e
nearly on top of those mountains, facing. the
crock of tbe same name. The " Mammoth
lode is about four feet wide on an average,

fpet each-. They all yield gold of great
fineness, and. the prtcious metal is free in
tho rock, and. visible, so regularly is it dis
tributed, in nearly every piece- of'' the
