BAKER CITY — A double music show is
coming to Churchill School on Saturday,
Sept. 10.
The concert features Goodbye Viking,
with special guest Moogyman.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show
starts at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $10 in
advance at churchillbaker.com, or $15 at
the door. Admission for youth age 15 and
younger is free with a ticket-holding adult.
MOOGYMAN
This three-piece psychedelic rock
band was founded on a whim by key-
boardist Blake Musselman.
“Moogyman was created on Halloween
night,” he said. “I put on a costume and
played keyboard.”
Moogyman is inspired by a combi-
nation of Musselman’s original compo-
sitions and artwork using handmade
fl orescent costumes and props.
He’s released one album titled “Build”
featuring various musicians that is avail-
able on Apple Music. He’s working on a
second album.
Also, Musselman has art on display at
Royal Artisan, and will have a show there
in March 2023.
GOODBYE VIKING
Tyler Colton started writing songs for
a new project in 2017, and started gath-
ering friends to play the songs.
“We had a solidifi ed lineup and started
playing shows in 2019,” he said.
But they didn’t have much time to play

live until the COVID-19 pandemic shut
down concerts.
“We didn’t get an opportunity to tour
until now — hopefully we’ll be able to do
a lot more in the future,” Colton said.
Although the band has had a few
changes to the lineup, he said Goodbye
Viking now has “a really strong combina-
tion of people.”
Those include Colton on guitar and
vocals, Joe Hughes on drums and extra
percussion, Aimee Guerin on keytar,
vocals and glockenspiel, Locke Bell on
bass and vocals, and Scott Sandefur on
guitar who “doesn’t sing at all, but it’s ok
‘cause he runs around a lot on stage.”
Colton loosely defi nes their sound as
pop-punk.
”We add a lot of keyboards to our
sound, and we also throw in ska and
hardcore occasionally,” he said. “We
even have some songs with horn parts,
but haven’t (yet) incorporated those in
live.”
