Baker County Fair and
Panhandle Rodeo in
Halfway Sept. 3-5

HALFWAY — The Baker County Fair
and Panhandle Rodeo is gearing up
for the 101st edition over Labor
Day weekend.
Exhibits are checked in on Friday,
Sept. 2, and the youth will show their ani-
mals both Saturday and Sunday. The live-
stock auction happens at 9 a.m. Monday.
Fair admission is free.
PARADE
The annual parade makes its way
down Main Street at 12:30 p.m. Monday.
Entries can line up at 11:30 a.m. The
grand marshals are David and Kathryn
Moore.
pack horse race at 5 p.m. Saturday,
and the team roping jackpot at
10 a.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $15 for reserved seats,
$12 general admission, $6 for ages 6-12,
and free for ages 5 and younger. Admis-
sion is free for veterans on Monday.
The 2022 rodeo princess is Kaylie
Hack.
ENTERTAINMENT
The midway is the place to fi nd music,
vendors, concessions and games for the
kids. On Sunday, the EV Locals will per-
form from 3-6 p.m. on the Midway Stage.
On Saturday and Sunday, the kids
dance starts at 9 p.m. at the Pine Valley
Grange Hall. After the rodeo, on Saturday
and Sunday, Frank Carlson will play live
for an adult cowboy dance on the midway.
A cowboy dinner will be available for $15.

PANHANDLE RODEO
ICA rodeo and Pro West action hap-
pens Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m., and
Monday at 2:30 p.m. Pre-rodeo events
start a half hour before, and mule races
happen during the rodeo performances.
