HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY MATHIS
SUNDAY, AUGUST 21, 2022 Leo Sun’s Last Day
The cat, having finished hunting and prowling,
climbing and hiding, feasting and resting (the latter
being what the cat does most and best), will pick up and
strut lazily back to the den with the air of satisfaction
practically synonymous with felineness. With a final
purr, the Leo sun sets. Soon, the Virgo rises.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). It’s normal to fear
what is different and be drawn to the safety of what is
similar. It is just as normal to do the opposite. You’ll
be fascinated by the foreign. Peculiarity piques your
interest, and your curiosity will drive you to discover.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). There’s no reason to
be in a dilemma alone, especially when you consider
that to some people this choice would be a snap
because they make such decisions every day. Bring
more people into mix and you’ll get clarity.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You are unlikely to
hit your goal without a system of accountability. This
might be a person, a group or a tool. The more you
enlist in your process, the better. It lightens the load so
much you may even forget that it’s work.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Thunder bellowing
through the heavens is not showing off; it’s just being
thunder. When you do your thing, you’re powerful,
too. If that startles someone, it’s only because they
underestimated you. They’ll adjust.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The most important words
ever uttered in the history of speaking wouldn’t matter
in the least if spoken with weak intention. And utterly
inane words spoken with confidence can open doors.
The right energy will be key today.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You provide what’s
needed and serve it up in a way that is most pleasant
and convenient for others. For this reason, you’ll get
what every successful person needs -- opportunities.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). As much as you enjoy
striving for an ideal and doing your best, perfection is
not your friend. The futile notion of getting it all right
can only stand in the way of fun and connection with
your fellow flawed humans.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). For the guitar to
make a sound, there must be tension on the strings.
There is tension in one of your relationships, too, and
if you rush to relieve it, you might spoil the harmonic
potential. It’s interesting music you’re making here.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You know
you’re right, but it’s still important to defend yourself
against the opposition. In doing so, you’ll fortify your
confidence. When dealing with a group, you’ll only be
as right as you can convince people you are.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). If the service is
bad, it’s a fair indication the food will be, too. There’s
usually a graceful point in which to get out while the
getting’s good, but you have to be watching for it. This
advice applies to dating, too.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). It’s a time
of reorganization, especially of your material
possessions. You get the most value out of the items
you use on the regular. As for the rest, the more you let
go of, the happier you will be.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). The time is coming
for you to give a gift. The thought you put into will
not only save you money but also elevate the gesture
to something much more meaningful. Think ahead. It’s
not about the size or cost; it’s about artful specificity.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Aug. 21). Upgrades to
your thinking make the impossible happen: You keep
getting newer instead of older. Influence grows. Some
follow your lead. Others imitate your moves. You will
make money teaching or creating helpful product and
services. Romance will be the breeze that blows you
through a series of carefree days. Libra and Sagittarius
adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 7, 21, 3, 33 and 19.

HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY MATHIS
MONDAY, AUGUST 22, 2022 Virgo Sun Directive
The change of sun brings a change of cast. For a bigger
network, or more special relationships, celebrate any
tie that’s working for you. It doesn’t have to be perfect;
just focus on what you love about it, and you’ll start
seeing more of the same from different sources.
Happiness with one relationship leads to more feel-
good connections.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Every move has a
price. While weighing one action against another, the
cost may be easily assessed. The cost of inaction won’t
be so obvious but is equally important to consider.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You’ll follow a whisper
of curiosity. Before you know it you’re in a different
world and enjoying work that widens your interests,
grows your skills and evolves your worldview.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Very few people are
lucky enough to be surrounded by support. Many must
advocate for themselves or seek out circles of support.
You have a talent for encouraging and lifting others,
and it’s very valuable indeed.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). There’s really no
point in arguing with people who are already 100%
convinced they’re right. Certainty takes up the mental
space needed for learning. Respectfully agreeing to
disagree may be the best you can do.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The more honest you are
about your feelings, strengths and weaknesses, the
better you’ll know yourself. And the better you know
yourself, the easier it is to arrange your life in the way
that leads you to be the person you want to be.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You’ve learned from
the best teachers, and you’ve learned even more from
the worst teachers. Examples of what you don’t want
are extremely valuable and memorable, too. Your body
automatically steers away from them.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Decide where you are
and are not willing to go with another person. The
closer the relationship, the more potential it has to
alter the course of your life for better or worse. You’ll
be very careful in this regard.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Indulgence can be
self-love or self-denial, depending on the situation.
When you’ve been very strict, letting yourself relax
can be the sweetest kindness. When you’ve been too
lax, pulling in the reigns is the loving move.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You are in the
process of becoming. The cause that captures your
curiosity and heart will soon capture your identity as
well. As you dedicate more of your attention in this
realm, it will shape you.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Try not to get too
frustrated with the situation, even if nothing about it
seems to yield to your influence. The only thing you
can change about this is your attitude -- but that will
change absolutely everything.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Options abound.
Some seductive routes are dead wrong for you; others
intrigue you for a reason. Don’t worry, you’ll know in
the earliest stages. Just make sure you act quickly
according to the information your gut provides.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). If you don’t know what
the competition is doing, you’ll be at a disadvantage. If
you obsess about what the competition is doing, it will
affect your productivity. You will now strike the perfect
balance of awareness in this regard.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Aug. 22). You’ve been
practicing and preparing. This is a year to show the
world what you can do! New resources will be made
available to you, including a keen assistant. The social
scene is filled with easygoing fun balanced by enough
competition to make things interesting. Your financial
picture brightens with an exciting side gig. Aries and
Libra adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 3, 38, 44,
1 and 15.
