7:28 a.m. — Pendleton police responded to Community Park,
1531 S.W. 44th St., on a report of a domestic disturbance.
9:36 a.m. — A 911 caller at Walker’s Furniture & Mattress, 1907
S.W. Emigrant Ave., Pendleton, made a report of a fi ght. Pendleton
police responded but were unable to locate anyone fi ghting.
11:01 a.m. — Umatilla County sheriff ’s deputies took a report of
graffi ti at East Mill and Broad streets, Weston.
12:31 p.m. — Umatilla County sheriff ’s deputies responded to
Rayton Lane, Hermiston, for a vehicle theft.
1:02 p.m. — Umatilla County sheriff ’s deputies responded to
East Elm Avenue, Hermiston, on a report of harassment.
2:50 p.m. — Umatilla police responded to Third Street, on a
report of a disturbance.
4:03 p.m. — Umatilla County sheriff ’s deputies responded to
Grant Road, Milton-Freewater, for a burglary and took a report.
4:43 p.m. — Emergency services responded to a two-vehicle
crash on Juniper Drive, Boardman. A person involved in the crash
refused an ambulance ride to a hospital. Boardman police took a
report.
5:10 p.m. — Pendleton police took a report of graffi ti at Grecian
Heights Park, 1910 S.W. Athens Ave.
5:40 p.m. — A 911 caller on Southeast Eighth Street, Pendleton,
reported a burglary. Pendleton police responded.
8:52 p.m. — Pilot Rock police responded to Southwest Del-
wood Street, after receiving reports of a prowler in the area. Police
were unable to locate the prowler.
1:32 a.m. — Umatilla County sheriff ’s deputies responded to
Follett Lane, Hermiston, on a report of harassment.
8:24 a.m. — A Morrow County sheriff ’s deputy at Irrigon Ele-
mentary School, 490 S.E. Wyoming Ave., Irrigon, handled a situa-
tion of a student carrying four pocket knives.
9:10 a.m. — A 911 caller at Pendleton High School, 1800 N.W.
Carden Ave., reported a 17-year-old female had passed out. Emer-
gency agencies responded.
2:42 p.m. — Stanfi eld police responded to Stanfi eld Secondary
School, 1120 N. Main St., on a report of a disturbance involving two
parents in the main offi ce.
4:39 p.m. — Pendleton police responded to Southwest First
Street, on a report of harassment.
7:20 p.m. — Pilot Rock police responded to Southwest Third
Street, on a report of harassment.
7:58 p.m. — A caller at Alto Ingredients Inc., 71335 Rail Loop
Drive, Boardman, reported a fawn was in the trucking lane. Some-
one moved the fawn to the brush.
9:38 p.m. — Umatilla police responded to Crossroads Truck
Stop, 2020 Highway 730, on a report of a fi ght. Police took a report.

at Harris Park, 13 miles outside of
Milton-Freewater, OR.

Ruth Fox of Hermiston was
born in Mexico on Jan. 23, 1937.
She passed away on Saturday, May
28, 2022, in Hermiston at the age
of 85
Ruth grew up and attended
schools in Stockton, California.
She traveled extensively through-
out her childhood as her father
worked as a missionary and his
work took the family on many adventures to Mexico,
Cuba and the United States.
In 1964, she met George E. Fox, Jr., and the cou-
ple was united in marriage in San Diego, California, on
June 20, 1964. The couple followed George’s military
career to San Diego, California; Long Beach, Califor-
nia; Hawthorne, Nevada; Charleston, South Carolina;
Umatilla, Oregon; and Wasco, Oregon. When the cou-
ple retired, they built their dream home in Brookings,
Oregon, where they resided for several years. They
moved to Eastern Oregon and have lived in the Hat
Rock area near Hermiston for the past 20 years.
Ruth enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, working
in her yard, sewing and quilting. She was a member of
the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hermiston.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, George;
son, Roy Fox; two daughters, Brenda Long and Sandra
Bryant; five grandchildren and three great-grandchil-
dren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June
6, 2022, at the Burns Mortuary Chapel, 685 W. Hermis-
ton Ave., Hermiston, Oregon. Burial will follow in the
Hermiston Cemetery in Hermiston, Oregon.

Esteban Rodarte of Umatilla was
born June 17, 1985, in Hermiston,
the son of Jose and Micaela
(Montes) Rodarte. He passed away
in Umatilla on Monday, May 30,
2022, at the age of 36.
Esteban grew up in Hermiston
where he attended school and
graduated from Hermiston High
School in the class of 2003. He
worked at the Walmart Distribution Center in Hermiston
for 10 years. He then owned and operated the Grow
Bright Store in Hermiston for six years. He has been
working as a material handler for the Electrical Union
No. 112 for the past five months.
Esteban enjoyed spending time with his kids and
had coached Grid Kids and AAU Basketball programs.
He loved the outdoors, going camping and kayaking.
He also served as a youth leader at Zeal Church in
Hermiston.
Esteban married Cynthia Grant in Boardman,
Oregon, on June 15, 2013.
He is survived by his wife of nine years, Cynthia;
five children, Gabriella, Izayah, Naeyeli, Gianna and
Lorenzo; grandson, Zaiden; father, Jose and Angelita
(Rodriguez Fernandez) Rodarte; mother, Micaela
Rodarte; two brothers, Adolfo and Alex Rodarte; sister,
Veronica Rodarte; and many cousins, nieces, nephews
and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by both of his grandmothers,
Petra De Leon and Maria Montes; and brothers, May
and Luis Jaime.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June
8, 2022, at the Zeal Church, 739 E. Hurlburt Ave.,
Hermiston, Oregon. Burial will follow in the Hermiston
Cemetery.
