The committee will consists of at least nine members and will advise the Board of Commissioners on matters related to the en- hancement of local and regional public transit services provided within Umatilla County through the STIF Formula Fund. Candidates are interviewed and selected by the Umatilla County Board of Commissioners. Appointments to the Advisory Committee are based on the candidate who best meets the requirements of the Committee, and are made at the sole discretion of the Commission- ers. Members are appointed for a four-year term, and may serve for two successive four-year terms. For the initial term, three of the ap- pointments will serve for two years only. Terms begin on July 1st (2022) and end on June 30th. To be qualified to serve on the Committee, an individual must: • Reside or work in Umatilla County, and; • Be knowledgeable about the public transportation needs of resi- dents, students or employees located within or traveling to and from the County, and; • Be willing to actively and regularly participate in UCTAC meetings, and; • Represent one or more of the different constituency groups within Umatilla County. Oregon Administrative Rules specify that Committee members should represent different constituency groups within the County, and that the Committee as a whole should also represent the diverse interests, perspectives, geography, and demographics of the County. Consideration may also be given to individuals within these cate- gories who are users of public transportation services provided within the County.
