exhibit at Josephy
Center is ‘An Invitation
to the Lighter Side’

OSEPH — The annual
exhibit showcasing work
by women artists opens
Saturday, Feb. 26, at Josephy
Center for Arts and Culture,
403 N. Main St.
The show title is “An Invita-
tion to the Lighter Side.” The
curator is Kolle Kahle Riggs.
The exhibit features work
by 28 artists from around the
Pacific Northwest. For the
theme, women were encour-
aged to “explore humor and
the joys that keep us going
through challenging times.”
The show’s closing re-
ception is set for March 26,
6-9 p.m.
The Josephy Center is
open Monday-Saturday,
noon-4 p.m. Artwork can also
be viewed online at josephy.
org.

ABOUT THE CURATOR
Riggs went to school for
jewelry and metalsmithing.
Her work ranges from jewelry
and sculpture to photography
and watercolor painting. Kolle
also loves the outdoors and
finds many materials to make
her work there — she has two
rock tumblers and a decent
pile of sticks and an even
more decent pile of rocks to
