The class will use acrylics to paint an 18-inch wooden sled with runners. There will be two designs to choose from: “Snowman Winter Scene” or “O Holy Night.” Beginners are welcome. “Poinsettias Paint Party” taught by Carpenter is set for Thursday, Dec. 16, from 1-4:30 p.m. Cost is $40, or $36 for members. Students of all ages can stop by during the three hours and make a leather Christmas tree ornament. There will be an as- sortment of styles to choose from. Participants will use acrylics to paint a vintage scene on a 16x20 canvas. Beginners are welcome, although previous paint- ing experience is helpful. Scholarships are available for classes.
