bance occurred on Chuckhole Lane,

5:36 p.m. — The Umatilla County Sher-
iff ’s Offi ce responded to a report of a bur-
glary at Panelview Rv Park on Highway 207,
Hermiston.
5:07 a.m. — Stanfi eld police responded
to a report of a burglary on East Ball Ave-
nue, Stanfi eld.
1:48 p.m. — A domestic disturbance
occurred on Northwest Geer Road,
Hermiston.

Oct. 4
Hermiston police arrested Samuel
Perez Carrillo, 36, on two felony counts of
fourth-degree assault.
The Umatilla County Sheriff ’s Offi ce
arrested Tamara Johnson, 35, on a felony
count of fi rst-degree burglary and misde-
meanor counts of second-degree theft, the
unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle and
resisting arrest.

driver from vehicle
PENDLETON — A driver
that tried to pass Tuesday, Oct.
5, on Highway 11 near Pend-
leton ended up in a crash and
needed rescuing.
According to Oregon State
Police, an 89-year-old man
from Walla Walla was driv-
ing a Toyota Rav4 north on
Highway 11 when he decided
to pass traffi c near milepost 7,
several miles outside Pendle-
ton.
A dust cloud from a
nearby tractor plowing a fi eld
prevented the move, however,
and a southbound Ford Fiesta
swerved into a ditch to avoid
crashing into the oncoming
Toyota. But the two vehicles

collided, according to OSP,
and the Toyota rolled and
came to a stop on its side
Firefi ghters and emergency
medical personnel arrived
and freed the driver, and an
ambulance took him to a local
hospital.
Relatives of the other
driver, a 25-year-old woman
from Adams, took her to a
hospital.
State police also reported
a trooper cited the Toyota’s
driver for unsafe passing.
Police seek tips
on buck poaching
WALLOWA COUNTY
— Oregon State Police is
seeking the public’s help for
fi nding who poached a 3x3
whitetail buck deer in north-
ern Wallowa County.
A local resident noti-
fi ed OSP and wildlife troop-
ers of the poaching, which
took place along School Flat
Road near School Flat Lane
within the Sled Springs Wild-
life Management Unit some-
time prior to 8 a.m. Sept. 25,
according to a press release
from Oregon State Police.
The buck was shot with
a large-caliber firearm on
private property, approxi-
mately 30 yards from the road,
and the entire deer was left to
waste.
