The State of Oregon has applied for final authorization to revise its authorized
hazardous waste program under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act
(RCRA), as amended. The State’s hazardous waste management program initially
received final authorization on January 30, 1986 and became effective on January
31, 1986. The State has since received approval for seven additional state program
revisions. On October 16, 2020, EPA received Oregon’s 8th authorization revision
request. The State of Oregon’s October 16, 2020 application seeks to revise its
federally authorized hazardous waste management program to include nineteen
Federal hazardous waste regulations promulgated between October 22, 1998 and
April 17, 2015.
