HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY MATHIS
SUNDAY, MAY 2, 2021 Planets Portend Person from Porlock
While composing, in a dreamlike state, the poem “Kubla
Khan,” Samuel Taylor Coleridge was interrupted by a
“person from Porlock” and subsequently unable to
recall the rest of his vision. Don’t let your great work
befall such a circumstance. Erect barriers against
intrusion of the profound creativity currently implied
by Mercury and Pluto.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). The relationship in which
each person contributes to his or her own brand of
marvelousness will produce a combined power that
culminates in a pinata-esque explosion! Sweetness
scatters everywhere.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). It appears that someone
took a big leap forward, when, in fact, this was just
a series of small but consistent steps over time –
doable for anyone with the tenacity. You are most
certainly in the category.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). If you think you’ve
experienced the full range of human emotion, don’t
worry – there’s much more deliciousness to come.
You won’t have to seek it, but moving deeper into
areas you already enjoy will hasten your destiny.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Your standards are high,
and you give with great mindfulness. Unless and until
you get the feeling that you’re adding something to
the project that your group would not have otherwise,
you will not be satisfied.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Once your heart sets a quest
in motion, it’s pretty difficult to stop the search.
However, since things often show up when you’re not
looking for them, you’ll benefit from a break and a
distraction.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You’re open to the magical,
wonderful happenings, but you’re also aware of the
stomach-churning risks involved. One won’t happen
without the other, and most likely, the risk comes first.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Anger won’t stay with you
long. It can’t. It’s too destructive to carry around. It’s
a bomb you either have to throw or diffuse. The way
to turn it off is to honestly ask yourself, “What has
been lost?”
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Thoughts are the seeds
of a reality that’s as solid as the building you’re in.
Someone thought, “There should be a building here,”
and now there is. There’s a thought you’ve had lately
that someone will one day stand inside.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You get to make
the rules of this game. Whatever you want from the
others, give it to whatever degree you are able. You’ll
get the ball rolling with your example.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Can a person
cultivate more compassion, or is it mysteriously
bestowed in fixed amounts that he or she can tap
into and use or not use? Whatever the nature, your
compassion will be fully activated today.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Competition isn’t a
good use of your energy today. Even competing with
yourself is pointless – not a fair game, since you’re
never the same person two days in a row. Show up
and do your best and you’ve already won.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Your internal
environment is worth addressing since it’s the
temperature and lighting scheme you live in all day.
Give intentional thought to what would make you feel
more comfortable.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (May 2). Your love-hate
relationship with self-regulation is about to change
into all love. You’ll get into the swing of treating
yourself so sweetly and nudging, nay, seducing
yourself into the habits that give you the life and
look you want. You’ll leverage social vibes skillfully;
relationships lend a leg up in the professional world
and vice versa. Leo and Cancer adore you. Your lucky
numbers are: 3, 40, 11, 2 and 8.

HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY MATHIS
MONDAY, MAY 3, 2021 Aspects of Aeolus
Aeolus, the Greek keeper of wind, is especially
fond of the musical moaning, whistling and general
excitement of whipping air, not to mention all that’s
swept up, deposited or eroded by its invisible hand.
Four squared aspects today assure that by day’s
end, we’ll have answered to the cosmic version of a
howling Aeolian breeze.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). There’s no need to hurry.
As counterintuitive as it may seem, you’ll get there
sooner if you slow down. Fast action is unnecessary;
it would likely produce time-consuming mistakes.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Being fantastic at a job is
one thing. People knowing you’re fantastic at it is an
entirely different area and very important now. Think
of this publicity as a job within your job, thus requiring
its own skills and systems.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Happy days will return,
but the happiness will be different, as happiness, just
like fashion, is contextual – a reflection of the times,
always updating, never the same twice.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). There are environments
more and less conducive to your health, and you’re
very good at projecting which way it will go for you.
The trick is in taking that moment to reflect and make
a conscious decision.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You don’t feel prepared to
go to the next level, and yet the door opens and the
brave thing to do is step through – no, jump through
– before it slides back closed and the train takes off.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Today is a little like a field
trip to a theme park in which everyone in the party
is wearing the same shirt. You can tell who is in your
group right away, and you’ll keep tabs accordingly.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Authenticity and
transparency have been buzzwords for years now,
to the degree that you’re starting to doubt anyone
who uses them too much. It’s similar to how you’ve
learned not to trust people who say, “Trust me.”
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Responsibility doesn’t
burden you in the least today. In fact, you have
become so strong through your various roles that you
hardly notice the weighty load you regularly carry.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You can feel free
and simultaneously follow a schedule. In fact, if you
didn’t schedule your free time, you’d either have far
too much of it or none of it, both unfavorable and
unliberated states.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You’re so attractive
when you’re doing your thing, and the deeper you get
into it, the more attractive you become. You wear your
passions like a well-styled, custom look.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Sometimes, people
who think they are offering you their support actually
seem to make things more difficult than when you
were doing it all on your own. Watch out for that
dynamic today.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Admirably, you want to
please others and ease their burdens. The best way to
do this now is to please yourself. You may actually find
it more difficult, as there will be some investigation
involved in knowing your own preferences.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (May 3). You let people be
themselves, and for this tendency and talent, you
are showered in the bounty that comes from being
beloved and admired. Next season, you’ll steer in a
completely new direction and learn a different world.
You’ll bank on your instinct for investing in people and
finally find the right person for a crucial role. Libra
and Leo adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 1, 5, 31,
22 and 17.
