Min- ton, 39, for violation of a no-contact order (domestic violence). •Oregon State Police cited and released Matthew Stephen Haller, 37, of Pasco, Washington, on charges of possession of heroin and methamphetamine. •Pendleton police arrested Jeremiah Atwell, 44, on a felony fugitive warrant. •Oregon State Police cited and released Dwayne Huxoll, 59, for DUII and reckless driving. •Oregon State Police cited and released Alberto Jeronimo Ahilon, 38, for DUII. •Pendleton police arrested Dustin Joseph Engel, 35, on fel- ony charges of first-degree burglary and felon in possession of a weapon, and misdemeanor charges of menacing, second-de- gree disorderly conduct and violation of restraining order. •Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Gabriel Joe Gibson, 47, on a felony fugitive warrant and for giving false information to police. Frederick M. ‘Rick’ Sellers Hermiston Nov. 20, 1952 — March 31, 2021 Frederick M. “Rick” Sellers, 68, of Hermiston, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 31, 2021. MEETINGS John Arthur McElroy Pendleton June 11, 1944 — March 31, 2021 Joh n A r thur McElroy passed away March 31, 2021, at his home in Pendle- ton, Oregon. He was born June 11, 1944, in Moscow, Idaho, to Donald McElroy and Julia Maston McElroy. John graduated from Moscow High School in 1963, and thereafter enlisted in the Navy where he received a National Defense Service Medal and a Viet Nam Service medal. In 1967 he was honorably discharged from the Navy in Long Beach, California, and he spent several years in California before moving to Pendleton, Oregon, in 1978 when he bought Shea’s Lock- ers and Quality Meats. He enjoyed outdoor life and was an avid camper, hunter and especially a fish- erman. He was a member of the Eagles, Elks and Camper Club. He was a volunteer for the Pendleton Round-Up for 32 years and Happy Canyon for 9 years, and was awarded with a lifetime pass to the Pendleton Round-Up. He also enjoyed garden- ing, traveling and he loved animals. His cat, Fuzz, will miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patricia McElroy Wolfe, and daugh- ter Julie McElroy. John is survived by his wife, Kathi Purchase McEl- roy of Pendleton; son Mike McElroy; stepchildren Shan- non Van Dorn and Todd Van Dorn; brother Denny (Mari- anne) McElroy of Sheridan, Oregon; and three nephews. East Oregonian NEW ORLEANS — A casting call for a road trip movie that will film in Central Oregon in the summer of 2021 is seeking teens and young adults ages 18-25 of all backgrounds, ethnicities and walks of life to be a part of the movie. Individuals, groups of friends, siblings and couples are encouraged to audition, and no acting experience is necessary. The as-yet untitled move, directed by Bill and Turner Ross, will follow four teen- ager friends as they set off on an unforgettable adven- ture across the Pacific North- west to chase down their own version of the Ameri- can Dream. The Ross Bros. filmmaking style is a hybrid of fiction and nonfiction, and the production company is seeking people who connect with the story to play them- selves. Daredevils, fearless outcasts, misfits and strong personalities are encouraged to audition. Auditions will be sched- uled through April and May 2021, and the project will film for approximately 8 weeks over June and July 2021.
