rized entry of a motor vehicle at Taj Food Mart on Highway 11

12:04 a.m. — Police responded to a reported burglary on
South Highway 395 in Hermiston.
2:14 a.m. — A domestic disturbance occurred at Sub Zero
Motel on South First Street in Irrigon.
12:44 p.m. — Police responded to a reported burglary on
Northeast North Street in Hermiston.
5:54 p.m. — A domestic disturbance occurred at Marigold
Hotel on Southeast Court Avenue in Pendleton.
7:00 p.m. — A domestic disturbance occurred on South
Highway 395 in Hermiston.
8:11 p.m. — Police responded to a report of the unautho-
rized use of a motor vehicle at Country Club Manor on Umatilla
Avenue in Umatilla.
ARRESTS, CITATIONS
The Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Leonardo Baldomero
Anzaldua, 37, on five counts, including one felony count of
possessing a weapon as a convicted felon and misdemeanor
counts of carrying concealed weapons, the unlawful posses-
sion of methamphetamine and two counts of the unlawful pos-
session of firearms.
The Pendleton Police Department arrested Mark Allen Her-
nandez, 36, on six counts, including one count of contempt of
court, four counts of failing to appear in court and one count of
third-degree escape. His bail is set at $2,531,000.
The Pendleton Police Department arrested Corey Edward
Parker, 42, on six misdemeanor counts, including violating
parole, failing to appear in court, second-degree theft, first-de-
gree criminal trespassing, third-degree escape and interfering
with a peace officer.
The Stanfield Police Department arrested Rafael Ortiz, 35,
on five counts, including one felony count of fourth-degree
assault, one misdemeanor count of fourth-degree assault,
and misdemeanor counts of menacing, second-degree disor-
derly conduct and fourth-degree attempt to commit a crime
(assault).

will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Desert
Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Irrigon. Arrangements are with

Jerome Omer “Jerry” Sobotta, 85, died Monday, March 21,
2021, surrounded by his family in his Hermiston home. He
was born Feb. 12, 1936, to George Sobotta and Ann Grieser
Sobotta in Arcadia, Wisconsin. Because of the limitation on
gatherings due to the pandemic, a family mass will be held at
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Boardman, with
burial to follow at the Hermiston Cemetery. Arrangements are

predeceased by his parents,

Mary, Evelyn and Norma.

Robert, also known as
Bob, Bobby, and Uncle Bob,
was born in Spokane, Wash-
ington, on March 18, 1945;
to Jim Tompkins and Reta
A. E. Gustin. Even though
the family moved often,
Bob spent most of his life in
Hermiston and Pendleton,
Oregon.
Bob obtained his GED
through Hermiston High
School and also received a
Certificate in Small Engine
Repair.
Bob and Lynn (Morris)
were married in December
of 1988; they were married
for 32 years. Bob was previ-
ously married to Alvie Koch
for 20 years, who passed
away in 1988.
Bob was employed at
Sunset Elementary School
for several years and he
worked at Hansell Broth-
ers Hog Ranch for 14 years.
Bob and Lynn operated The
Grooming Shop Pet Salon
for 13 years, at which time
he co-founded Blue Moun-
tain Wildlife; which he was
a part of for the past 30 years.
When Bob and Lynn first
started rescuing birds, Lynn
assured him, “it will just be
a few birds, here and there.”
During the past few years,
their services have cared for
an average of 1,100 birds per
year!
Bob enjoyed country
western music, playing his
guitar and singing with his
nephews. He also enjoyed
