HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY MATHIS
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2020 Cosmic Communication Demonstration
The power of words is beautifully experienced when
harmonious sounds blend, lift and send an experience
into the sublime. But that is rare. The power of words
is also, often and more obviously, noted when words
rub, clash and, with the friction of flint and steel,
produce ignition sparks. Mercury and Uranus in
opposition will demonstrate.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). No matter how large or
small a threat may be, the same move is called for –
turn and face it. Your psyche memorizes the “move”
the more times you do it. Facing small stuff makes it
easier to face big stuff.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). There’s much that will
go right as you mind your own business (and much
could go wrong if you don’t.) The trick is in planning
ahead – knowing what you’re going to focus on and
erecting barriers to distraction.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You often step up to take
care of the situation, but you don’t have to be the point
person every time. Let others step in. It’s good for the
bond when everyone takes some of the responsibility.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). One benefit to getting
really good at something is that you don’t have to
start from scratch every time. It won’t even feel like
work until you’re in the middle part. Keep at this.
You’re headed toward mastery.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Your gut tells you about
more than one kind of hunger. Today, it’s in tune to
emotional needs and the craving for comforts that
cannot be satisfied with food. Who are your go-to
sources for emotional warmth?
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). There is no happiness
guarantee for helping others, not for the helper, nor
for the helped. However, to give in this way certainly
raises the odds that somewhere along the line,
someone will be satisfied.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The number of useful
actions you complete in a day would be mindboggling
to a younger version of you. Don’t forget that you’ve
worked up to this and deserve every reward coming
to you.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Bright notions will light
up your mind in a nonstop flow. They’re more than
you can act on now, but stockpile them for the future.
And remember, money can’t buy ideas. Ideas come
first and the money follows.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Beware the optical
illusions of progress. Forward movement doesn’t
always look the same and the backward slide can
be just as tricky to detect. This is why you need
witnesses in various positions.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Accept all the care
people want to give you today, and they will give more
than you’re comfortable with. It might even annoy
you. Still, it’s important to understand what it’s like to
be on all sides of a relationship.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). While some worry their
lives are too ordinary to be interesting conversation,
you’ll have the opposite concern. You’ll hold back
wild stories aplenty as you’re careful to share the
information most likely to help you fit in.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You’ll be appointed to
clear up a messy situation. Approach it like you’re
cleaning out a junk drawer. Things that land in a junk
drawer are usually junk. Be merciless.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Oct. 7). First epic fun and
lucrative work, and then it flips the other way around.
What luck! It’s due in part to your tendency to
gravitate toward projects that engage you on many
levels. You’ll explore relationships with your eyes wide
open. The more you know about attachment style and
love languages, the smoother it will go. Sagittarius
and Aquarius adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 5,
23, 30, 1 and 28.

HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY MATHIS
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2020 Mercury Sorts Out Supply & Demand
Cosmic oppositions and lunar tides in Gemini feature
laws of supply and demand. In business, it is said that
the market determines the price, and that principle
applies to many other areas of life. Make your
offering. If you have many takers, consider offering
less. If takers are few, then offer more, or change the
offer entirely.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Your emotions are
compressed into bursts. They’re easy to understand
in this concentrated form. Hot Tip: Feelings are always
much easier to deal with when you’re well-rested.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You’ll be challenged to
listen well today, and your subject won’t make it any
easier to pay attention. Some of what you need to
absorb is so dry! Just by making the effort, you’ll be
ahead of most others.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You want to find out what
people want even if it’s not what you have to give.
Because you ask questions without an attachment
to certain answers, you learn more than anyone who
goes in with an agenda.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). To you, this just feels
like a natural attraction, but the fact is that you’re
building a relationship, which in turn builds your value
to another person and to yourself. You are picking up
skills without even realizing it.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Not every warning warrants
immediate response. You’re wary of those who seem
to be forever cautioning you against this and that. It
feels like it’s more about control than it is about safety.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Beauty is mostly
subjective, but even the standards of beauty society
agree upon are ever-changing because beauty relies
on freshness. It’s never the same twice. Aesthetic
pleasures abound today.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Those in your inner circle
have earned their place there, and yet this is not an
all-season pass situation. It’s good to check in with
yourself to make sure you’re still giving and getting
what’s needed in relationships.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You open the door to
another door to another door... This is how it will
continue: Some rooms are more inhabitable than
others, some hallways are of various lengths. You
never know what you’re going to get on the other side.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). There are people
who don’t listen, and then there are people who can’t
comprehend. The first category needs a wake-up call.
The second category needs a hard pass. Don’t waste
your message.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). It’s a good day to
put stock in action and maintain a healthy distrust of
words. Some people don’t have a lot of control right
now over what trips off the tongue. Love is as love
does.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Do you get the
sneaking feeling that the solution you seek will, at
some later date, become the problem? Well, you’re
right. But it will be a better problem to have.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You can push a thing to
the back burner, and it can cook there just as well as
anything upfront. Turn it down. Leave it alone; let it
simmer. It needs no more attention, only time.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Oct.8). You love to encourage
others along their journey, and because of this, your
own journey takes a new turn. Your role as a champion
will have you learning and earning through 2021.
Family expands. There are logistics and domestic
details to sort out in February; life and relationships
smooth out because you took the time. Taurus and
Gemini adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 44, 39,
1 and 7.
