The cast of “Chicago P.D.” By Jessica Gosse TV Media “All or Nothing: Brazil National Football Team” On Friday, Jan. 31, Prime Video launches this new behind-the- scenes series that follows the team’s journey to its ninth Copa America title last year. Take a look inside the season with interviews and training sessions, and see what happens in the dressing room be- tween the players and the coaches. This popular sports series has previ- ously featured New Zealand’s All Blacks and the U.K.’s Manchester City. mous Una, a young woman still reeling from past trauma. When she was 13 years old, Una fell into a romantic relationship with her nextdoor neighbor, Ray (Ben Men- delsohn, “Bloodline”), a middle- aged man. The two plan to run away together, but the wildly inap- propriate relationship is discovered in time, and Ray is sent to prison. Years later, Una uses a photo in the newspaper to track Ray down, and confronts him where the now- free man works. Afraid for his job and his new life and relationship (which is age-appropriate), Ray chooses to flee instead of taking the time to understand the dam- aged girl standing in front of him. But Una isn’t done with him yet. It’s an unsettling, emotionally charged story, and Mara and Mendelsohn “Ted Bundy: Falling For A Killer” The fascination with serial killers continues on Friday, Jan. 31, when Prime Video takes things to the next level with this new five-part series. Infamous serial killer Ted Bundy admitted to the kidnapping, rape and murder of 30 women across seven states in the 1970s. The series focuses predominantly on how the women around him were impacted by his actions, featuring his former girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer (aka Liz Kendall), and her daughter, Molly Kloepfer, speaking out about their relationship with Bundy. BINGE THIS: “Chicago PD” The first spinoff of “Chicago Fire” (“Chicago Med” and “Chicago Justice” would follow), this se- Rooney Mara in “Una” ries features Jason Beghe (“G.I. Jane,” 1997) as Sergeant Hank Voight, a dedicated detective with a troubled past who is hell bent on cleaning up the streets of Chicago. He’s put in charge of special Intelligence Unit, and while his team members are loyal, sometimes his brash attitude and belief that the ends justify the means can cause deep rifts and unexpected problems. Jesse Lee Soffer (“As the World Turns”), Patrick John Flueger (“The 4400”), Marina Squerciati (“Gossip Girl”), LaRoyce Hawkins (“South Side”), Jon Seda (“Treme”), Elias Koteas (“The Killing)), Tracy Spiridakos (“Revolution”) and and Sophia Bush (“One Tree Hill”) round out the main cast, and their chemistry is what makes the series so suc- cessful. You can binge the first five seasons of this series now. “Endeavour” “Una” (2017) Based on the play “Blackbird,” by David Harrower, this intense drama will keep you riveted. Rooney Mara (“Carol,” 2015) plays the epony- are spectacular in their leading roles. You can stream this under- appreciated gem now. Shaun Evans and Roger Allam star in “Endeavour” This British show is a prequel to the hit series “Inspector Morse,” and follows Endeavour Morse through the early days of his career. Shaun Evans (“The Take”) stars as the beloved inspector, and Roger Allam (“The Missing”) plays his mentor and friend, Fred Thursday. The series goes a long way to explaining why Morse is the way he is in the original, and Evans’ portrayal of the young man is captivating. Each episode features a new, often gruesome murder, and Morse must over- come many personal obstacles — not to mention the difficulties of the cases themselves — to solve each one. Along the way, he’s helped by a network of colleagues and friends, and the women in his life are the most fun to watch. Sara Vickes (“Watchmen”) is brilliant as Joan Thursday, and the way her reserved relationship with Morse unfolds slowly over the show’s run is compelling. Dakota Blue Richards (“Beacham House”) plays WPC Shirley Truelove, a fe- male officer who stirs things up, but also provides opportunities for Morse and other characters to show their true colors. Abigail Thaw (“I Want My Wife Back”), real-life daughter of John Thaw, who played the original Inspector Morse, also appears as Dorothea Frazil, the editor of the Oxford Mail, who is equal parts help and hindrance to Morse. There are six seasons of this thrilling series available to stream now, and more to follow — Season 7 will air in the U.K. this year, and the show has been renewed for an eighth season, so we have at least that far to go.
