Lynch may not be the only reunion for Seattle. Former running back Robert Turbin posted a picture from the Seahawks locker room on social media late Monday. There was no confi rmation from the team that Turbin has signed, but he had been in for a workout with the team last week. Turbin played for Seat- tle from 2012-14 and was Lynch’s backup. “Happy to be back home,” Turbin wrote on Instagram. Lynch visited Seattle’s facility earlier this month but the team said it was simply to see some friends. The team had to report the visit to the league because Lynch has not offi cially fi led retirement papers and could be signed by any team. Carroll said general man- ager John Schneider had been in contact with Lynch’s representatives on the off- chance there was a need down the road. “John is always on the options and in astute fash- ion he’s been connected with this one just in case for a long enough time that we’ve had some runway for it. He’s had plenty of time to be working and get ready in case something came up and I’m anxious to see him when we get him here,” Car- roll said. “There is a lot of history here that is great his- tory and there was nobody that ever amplifi ed the kind of mentality and toughness we like to play with, so if we get a chance to get the beast back on the fi eld we’ll see how that works out.” seconds to leave Gervais up 15-13 at the half. “We didn’t value the bas- ketball very much,” Rosen- balm said. “I didn’t feel like we were good at any aspect of the game.” Collins helped Heppner even the score once again at 19-all midway through quarter three, and senior guard Casey Fletcher hit a jump shot for a 22-all game with 1:10 left. Collins fol- lowed with a free throw that gave Heppner a 23-22 lead, but Studer answered back with a bucket in the fi nal 20 seconds that left Gervais ahead 24-23. “Our coach said it, we were off,” Heppner senior Mason Lehman said. “It was rough around the edges. We were mentally tired. We weren’t ready to come out and play. (Gervais) came out with energy right off the bat. They were getting hyped. We just didn’t match that.” Mason Lehman gave the Mustangs their game’s fi nal advantage at 27-26 1-1/2 minutes into the fi nal quar- ter, but the Cougars quickly put together a four-point run that kept the game out of reach for good. Heppner trailed by just two points with 22 seconds left to play, but Gervais’ Daniel Hernandez scored three points at the free- throw line to seal the win. “Credit to my team — even though we weren’t at our best today, we still had some chances down the stretch,” Rosenbalm said. “That’s promising. We just didn’t take advantage of (those chances).” Jackson Lehman posted a team-high seven points for the Mustangs (3-5), while Hisler and Mason Leh- man each had six. Heppner will open Blue Mountain Conference play Jan. 3 at Weston-McEwen.
