coming back that stepped up and improved
over the season last year. The seniors are
anxious to take the next step in improving
the program. As long as we stay healthy, play
together, play smarter, and go hard, we should
be able to give the tough teams in our league
some competitive games.

a very athletic junior and senior class that is
going to be responsible for most of what we
do this season. Our athletes have matured a

this season one game at a time. Our goal is
to get better each week and put ourselves in

Coach: Devin Bailey, 3rd season.
2019-20 SCHEDULE
Assistant coach: Eddy Ramos.
2018-19 season: “Last year, we fell a game
short of qualifying for state when we lost
a tough one to a solid Grant Union team
in districts,” Bailey said. “With that said, we
did claw our way back from dropping a few
league games early that we should not have.”
Returning starters: Rene Sanchez, P, sr.; Mario
Sanchez, G, sr.; Rafael Orozco, G, sr.
Other key returners: Tanner Carver, P, jr.;
Keagan Brown, G, jr.; Uriel Carrillo, G, jr.
Key newcomers: Ricky Carrillo, G, jr.; Sam
Kerns, P, jr.; Josue Hernandez, G, jr.; Keith
Burke, G, jr.
Coach Bailey’s outlook: This season will be
whatever my guys make of it. We lost seven
seniors last year and it is up in the air as to
what our lineup will look like come Dec. 4 for
our first game against Irrigon. The competition
amongst the team will help drive us forward
to hopefully competing at the league level as
well as the state level. We have a combination
of size, skill and leaders that I believe could be
dangerous this year.
