Later, a woman called the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office to report that some- one moved into her residence on East May Street while she was still busy moving her things out. 11:14 a.m. — Someone reported animal abuse on Diagonal Road and Hope Lane in Hermiston. 5:17 p.m. — A crisis response team responded to a call for a welfare check on Southeast Jay Avenue in Pendleton. 7:08 p.m. — Umatilla County Sheriff deputies were unable to locate a possible intoxicated driver. 10:00 p.m. — A residence on Washing- ton Lane in Irrigon requested extra patrols in response to someone who may be carry- ing a rifle on their property. FRIDAY 3:06 a.m. — A domestic disturbance occurred on North Wayne Street in Stanfield. ARRESTS, CITATIONS Thursday •The Boardman Police Department arrested Jose Gutierrez Batz, 36, for DUII after someone called to report a driver was following them near Northeast Columbia Avenue. •The Pendleton Police Department arrested Alex Joseph Smith, 28, on nine charges including felony identity theft, felon in possession of a weapon, unlaw- ful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of heroin. According to court documents, Smith was on conditional release from Union County custody at the time of his Thursday arrest. According to an October affidavit, he was arrested on multiple misdemeanor charges after crashing a vehicle into a pole in 2018 while under the influence of intox- icants. He had knife sharpened into a dag- ger on his person at that time and was found to be in the possession of a con- trolled substance. Friday •The Hermiston Police Department arrested Azuria Monique Alegria, 19, for third-degree assault. COURTS SENTENCES PENDLETON — The follow- ing sentences have been imposed in Umatilla County courts: FELONY •Sydney Patric Thompson, 25, Pilot Rock, pleaded guilty to Fleeing/Attempt to Elude Police: sentenced to 18 months proba- tion, 90 sanction units, 30 max- imum jail units, 80 hours com- munity service, $200 fine and 1 year driver’s license suspen- sion; pleaded guilty to DUII: sen- tenced to 2 days jail, 178 days jail-suspended, 2 years proba- tion, 80 hours community ser- vice, $1,250 fine, $1,250 fine-sus- pended and 1 year driver’s license suspension, plus court costs and fees. •Cedric Alexander Dorsey II, 26, Seattle, pleaded guilty to Theft I: sentenced to 13 months Ore- gon Dept. of Corrections (DOC), 1 year post-prison supervision, $200 fine and $3,775 restitution. •Miriah Ann Withers Elwell, 28, Stanfield, pleaded guilty to Delivery of Heroin: sentenced to 2 years probation, 120 sanc- tion units, 60 maximum jail units, 100 hours community service, $500 fine and $1,500 fine-suspended. •Cassandra Darlene Ross, 29, Hermiston, pleaded guilty to Possession of Methamphet- amine: sentenced to 18 months probation, 90 sanction units, 30 maximum jail units, 60 hours community service and $2,000 fine-suspended. •Terrance Spencer, 26, Umatilla (TRCI), pleaded no contest to Aggravated Harassment: sen- tenced to 25 months Oregon DOC, 2 years post-prison super- vision and $200 fine.
