A6 COURTS East Oregonian Saturday, October 26, 2019 PUBLIC SAFETY Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office THURSDAY 12:39 a.m. — A Boardman caller reported her intoxicated father assaulted her and her sister. 1:03 a.m. — Hermiston police responded to a report of a burglary on the 900 block of Southwest 11th Street. 9:31 a.m. — A Heppner-area property owner asked the Mor- row County Sheriff’s Office to trespass a neighbor, who goes onto the property at night in spite of “no trespass” signs and cuts and splits wood. 11:01 a.m. — A Pendle- ton woman living on South- west 45th Street told police the downstairs neighbor put his hands on her. Police took a report. 11:10 a.m. — Staff at the Neighborhood Center, 441 N. Main St., Heppner, reported giving a $20 gas voucher to a person, but an employee at the gas station said some- one altered it to look like a $40 voucher. 12:49 p.m. — Pendleton police responded to the ser- vice station at 1700 S.W. Emi- grant Avenue on a 911 call about an assault. Shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday, Umatilla County Fire District 1 was dispatched to a structure fire at 81232 Vetter Lane. Battalion Chief Ed Clark said the residents had been burning garbage in the grass near the house before the fire spread to the house and the sur- rounding field. Clark expects the building will be a total loss due to heavy smoke damage and shattered windows. While burning is allowed on select days between Oct. 1 and May 31 in Umatilla County, Thursday was not a burn day.
