INTRO TO CROCHET with Chantell Reid WEDNESDAYS, 3:30 – 5:00 PM Oct. 12 – Oct. 23 (four sessions) Learn the beginning basics of how to crochet, starting at the very beginning. If you’re brand new, or you’re a pro- this is the class for you! Join Chantell, as she teaches you about the array of available hooks, yarns, patterns, and creations one can do with crochet. PAPER MACHÉ with Erica Edwards TUESDAYS, 3:30 – 5:00 PM Oct. 29 – Nov. 19 (four sessions) Paper Mache is a wonderful medium to play with! We’ll focus on sculptures and basic forms in this class, using familiar mediums to create magical works of art. We’ll also add in another form of paper art: pinata making! FIBER ARTS with Erica Edwards WEDNESDAYS, 3:30 – 5:00 PM Oct. 30 – Nov. 20 (four sessions) uke songs as a group. No prior experience in music is required. Join us as we learn how to dye fibers using the Japanese style of Shibori dying, as well as Sashiko embroidery. We’ll also learn how to make cross-stitched patches and basic font embroidery. ALTERNATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY with Erica Edwards TUESDAYS, 3:30 – 5:00 PM Dec. 3 – Dec. 10 (two sessions) Have you ever seen pinhole making in real life? Or cyanotypes? How about Lumen prints? In this two-session photography class, we’ll learn how to turn digital photos into beautiful prints using old-school forms of photography. Fullest Art can be a powerful activity for older adults. For many seniors art is a lifelong passion, for others, art is a hobby that they never had the time to pursue. No matter the situation, having an art program in your community can contribute substantially to the overall quality of life for Seniors.
