High school golfers can receive scholarships UMATILLA — The coor- dinating committee of the Kings & Queens Couples Golf Tournament is offering four $750 scholarships. Heppner farmers market resumes season HEPPNER — The Wil- low Creek Farmers Market will resume its season Friday, July 5. The market runs Fridays from MISSION — Area golfers are invited to hit the links during the Charity Golf Tournament & Auction. In its 11th year, the event serves as a fundraiser for the United Way of the Blue Moun- tains (formerly the United Way of Umatilla & Morrow Coun- ties). The tournament and auc- tion is Friday, July 26. Golf- ers will tee off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. at the Wild- horse Resort Golf Course, Mis- sion. The cost is $100 per person, which includes green fees, a golf cart, tee prize bags and lunch. Limited to 30 teams, people are encouraged to register their team or sign up to join a foursome.
