Coach’s outlook: “It’s my hope that we’re going to fi nd our rhythm a little earlier than we
did last year. I think we can be really competitive. My biggest concern is coming together
off ensively. For us to be successful, it’ll all come down to how hard we work together as a team.”
Impact newcomers: McKenna Stallings (jr.,
pitcher)
Coach Leasy’s outlook: “We need to come out and compete every game,” he said.
“We will need to play good solid defense, have quality at-bats and put the ball in
play, along with running the bases the right way. Pitching, we need to work hard on
the bump and keep the hitters off balance.”
Coach: Shane Leasy, 3rd season.
WESTON-MCEWEN SOFTBALL
Coach Thacker’s outlook: “We will be led by seven seniors, fi ve who have played all four
years,” Thacker said. “This will bring a us a lot of experience and leadership. At the same time,
we will be a young team with no juniors and only four sophomores. The freshman class of
12 is going to see some varsity time. We are optimistic for the season. We’ll be fairly good
defensively, and we’ve got some hitting power in the lineup. We should be right in the mix.”
Coach: Corey Thacker, 4th season.
