My biggest concern is coming together off ensively. For us to be successful, it’ll all come down to how hard we work together as a team.” Impact newcomers: McKenna Stallings (jr., pitcher) Coach Leasy’s outlook: “We need to come out and compete every game,” he said. “We will need to play good solid defense, have quality at-bats and put the ball in play, along with running the bases the right way. Pitching, we need to work hard on the bump and keep the hitters off balance.” Coach: Shane Leasy, 3rd season. WESTON-MCEWEN SOFTBALL Coach Thacker’s outlook: “We will be led by seven seniors, fi ve who have played all four years,” Thacker said. “This will bring a us a lot of experience and leadership. At the same time, we will be a young team with no juniors and only four sophomores. The freshman class of 12 is going to see some varsity time. We are optimistic for the season. We’ll be fairly good defensively, and we’ve got some hitting power in the lineup. We should be right in the mix.” Coach: Corey Thacker, 4th season.
