A qualified candidate must be a member of the Oregon State Bar Asso- ciation, or complete training by the National Judicial College. Judicial experience or attorney with criminal defense and/or public defender experience is preferred. Experience in super- vision of staff is desirable. Duties will include all aspects of judicial service in a non-record justice level court which hears misdemeanor, violation and post sentence proceedings. Duties also include court attendance at two half-day sessions and one full day session per week. Court scheduling is flexible. When re- quired, jury trials are scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays, which could extend the half-day court sessions.
