requires a minimum 3 months
of prior experience working
in apple, peach or cherry or-
chards, handling both manual
and machine tasks associated
with commodity production and
harvest activities. Workers must
be able to perform manual as
well as mechanized activities
with accuracy and efficiency.
Workers should be able to work
on their feet in bent positions
for long periods of time. Work
requires repetitive movements
and extensive walking, also
working in temperatures that
can range from 10 degrees F to
100 degrees F. To provide a safe
and healthy crop, workers will be
trained in USDA Gap certifica-
tion standards and must abide
by those standards. Workers
must be available for the entire
period requested by the em-
ployer. Workers must be able
to handle ladders, which are 12
foot in length and weigh 40 lbs.
They will be climbing up and
down, pruning trees with hand
pruners and pneumatic prun-
ers consisting of an 8-foot pole
while dragging an airline. They
will stacking tree limbs, plant
trees, shovel soil, apply fertilizer,
pick up rocks, pull weeds, check
irrigation, thin fruit from a ladder,
harvest sweet and tart cherries,
peaches, and apples.
They
must harvest fruit per instruc-
tions of supervisor. They will be
carrying a picking bucket, while
full of fruit, for up to a 8 hour day,
driving harvesting equipment,
working in hot, dry, dusty, noisy,
cold, wet, snowy conditions,
must be able to lift and carry up
to 50 lbs. All workers must be
able to follow instructions of job
requirements and have ability to
problem solve. Workers will be
required to keep all property and
housing clean. Details: tools,
room, board, kitchen facilities,
and transportation provided
at no cost to the workers. Will
work 40 hrs/wk Mon-Fri, wage
is $11.63/hr. The employer will
provide at no cost to the worker,
Worker’s compensation cover-
age. The employer guarantees
to offer the worker employment
for a total number of work days
equal to at least ¾ of the total
work period beginning with the
first workday after the arrival of
the worker at the place of em-
ployment or advertised contrac-
tual first day of need. Whichever
is last to occur, and ending on
the expiration date specified. If
the worker completes 50% of the
work contract period, the em-
ployer shall pay the worker the
cost incurred by the worker for
transportation and daily subsis-
tence from the place from which
the worker has come to work for
the employer. The offered wage
equals or exceeds the highest
of the prevailing wage that is
issued and determined by the
DOL for the time period the work
is performed. This job is in con-
nection with a future H-2A labor
certification application. Inter-

Legal Notice for EIS Objection Filing
Glass Restoration Project
The draft Decision Notice (DN), Finding of No Significant Impact
(FONSI) and final Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Glass
Restoration project are now available for public review and com-
ment. On the Walla Walla Ranger District of the Umatilla National
Forest, the project area is located in three sub-watersheds: Upper
Lookingglass, Little Lookingglass, and Jarboe Creek. It is within
portions of: Township 3 North, Range 39 East, Section 3-5 and
6; Township 4 North, R. 38 East, Sections 12-14, 22-27 and 24-
36; Township 4 North, R. 39 East, Section 1, 2, 4-34; Township
4 North, R. 40 East, Sections 4-9, 17-20, 28-33; Umatilla County,
Oregon.
Proposed activities within the boundary of the Glass project in-
clude commercial harvest and non-commercial thinning within
previously clearcut areas. The objectives of this project are to
partially restore vegetation to historic conditions within the proj-
ect area, including treatment of planted Ponderosa pine from un-
known seed sources. Project needs include improving landscape
resiliency, restore Riparian Habitat Conservation Areas and pro-
viding forest products. This action is needed to decrease offsite
ponderosa pine in the area, encourage species composition clos-
er to the range of historical values and decrease high density and
multi-strata forest.
The draft DN, EA and supporting documents are available on the
Umatilla National Forest’s project webpage at: https://www.fs.us-

This proposed decision is subject to objection pursuant to 36 CFR
218, Subparts A and B. Objections will only be accepted from
those who submitted project-specific written comments during
scoping or other designated comment period. Issues raised in ob-
jections must be based on previously submitted comments unless
based on new information arising after the designated comment
period(s).
Objections must be submitted within 45 days of the publication
of this legal notice. The date of this legal notice is the exclusive
means for calculating the time to file an objection. Those wishing
to object should not rely upon dates or timeframes provided by
any other source. It is the objector’s responsibility to ensure evi-
