Main St., Stanfield. 2:43 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to Love’s Travel Stop, 78665 Tower Road, Boardman, for a man passed out and possibly drunk in a vehicle at a fast food establishment’s drive-thru. Law enforcement found the driver was not drunk but tired, and he would finish napping in the parking lot. He got off with a warning. 2:31 p.m. - Irrigon residents on Southeast Fourth Street complained about the neighbor’s dog barking all night. A deputy provided the dog owner with the phone number of Pet Rescue Humane Society of Eastern Oregon, Hermiston. 4:37 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a report for a burglary at a storage unit in Hermiston. 8 p.m. - The owner of a vacant home on Depot Lane, Irrigon, reported someone pried the wood off a window, entered and riffled through drawers. She also reported the front door was unlocked and she had not been to the property in two weeks. SATURDAY 7:29 a.m. - A Toyota Celica drove into a tree and became high-centered at Irrigon Marina Park, 430 Eighth St. N.E., Irrigon. 10:04 a.m. - Hermiston police took a report for graffiti on West Quince Avenue. 1:08 p.m. - Umatilla police took a report for criminal mischief at the Mobil station, 1800 Sixth St. 6:07 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to Southeast Brandon Street, Irrigon, for a death threat. A resident there reported a male called himself a “psycho” and stated this was the last straw and he would kill the him. 10:23 p.m. - Pilot Rock police responded to a domestic disturbance on Southeast Cherry Street. 10:54 p.m. - A caller near the garden center at Home Depot, Hermiston, reported two males yelled at each other and used racial slurs. SUNDAY 6:31 a.m. - An Oregon State Police trooper responded to a hunting complaint in the Willow Creek Wildlife Area found a felon in possession of a shotgun. The trooper took the gun and requested the man’s conviction records from Susanville, California, for review for any enforcement action. 9:16 a.m. - Milton-Freewater police took a report for the theft of clothes, a pellet gun, a pistol and more from a residence on Eastside Road. 5:43 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to Irrigon Marina Park, 430 Eighth St. N.E., Irrigon, on a report of a “female in the water half naked” who left the marina and jumped over the fence near the ball fields. Sheriff’s deputies did not find her. 6:23 p.m. - A caller reported a prowler at the Brittany Farming Company, 1116 N. Columbia St., Milton-Freewater, but the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office did not find a suspect. 7:41 p.m. - At least two vehicles crashed into two black cows on the southbound side of Highway 11 near milepost 35. The impacts killed both cows, and one occupant suffered minor injuries and took an ambulance ride to Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Walla Walla. 8:15 p.m. - Hermiston police took a report for a burglary on the 1100 block of Southwest Sandy Drive. 10:18 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of elder abuse and neglect. ARRESTS, CITATIONS Friday •Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Sean Ray Sills, 30, for unauthorized use of vehicle and on a warrant. •Oregon State Police cited Kurt Koepke, 62, of Athena for refusing to obey a flagger. State police reported Koepke was heading north in a Toyota Tundra and did not stop for road construction workers on Highway 11 near Banister Road. Another worker tried to stop Koepke, but he yelled at the worker and bumped him with his vehicle before police arrived. The presumptive fine is $440. •Pendleton police arrested Natasha Mable Watson, 28, of Pendleton, for harassment, reckless endangering and the domestic violence crimes of fourth-degree assault. Saturday •Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jose Ivan Lombera Lopez, 24, for third-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. Sunday •Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Taryn Craig Leighty, 26, of Athena, for the domestic violence crime of fourth-degree assault. State court records show Leighty pleaded guilty in July to domestic violence crimes for harassing and harming a pregnant woman. •Hermiston police arrested Travis Arlen Landon, 25, of Hermiston, for felony methamphetamine and heroin possession, second-degree theft and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle. •Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Amanda M. Warren, 37, for unauthorized use of a vehicle and felony possession of meth. IN UNIFORM Shayne M. Keltz U.S. Air Force Airman Shayne M. Keltz graduated from basic military train- ing at Joint Base San Anto- nio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Keltz completed an intensive, eight-week pro- gram that included train- ing in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare princi- ples and skills. Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Com- munity College of the Air Force. Keltz is the son of Steven Keltz and Holly Wolf, and stepson of Lisa Keltz, all of Hermiston. He is a 2018 graduate of Stanfield Sec- ondary High School.
