Kids of all ages now have full access
to the PCA’s art materials and studio
space! Inspire your kids to explore art
independently through open-ended
drawing, painting and collage, or to try
out a new technique by working along
with the group on a facilitated project
(we’ll have a fun, optional project
going on each time). The emphasis is
on creative learning and play through
art making, and kids are welcome to
drop in for 15 minutes, or stay for the
full session as they like. Parents can
participate too!

CLAY CREATIONS (AGES 7-12)
– A DROP-IN CLASS!

November 3, 10, & 17 (3 SESSIONS)
Drop in to explore clay building! We’ll
make pinch pots, slab constructed
boxes, free-form sculpture. Students will
work in wet clay the first two sessions,
and the last session will be reserved
for glazing. Clay pieces will be ready to
pick up the week after the glazing class.
Please wear clothes that can get messy.

FAMILY ART JOURNALING
(AGES 7+)
with Teri Atkins
SATURDAYS, 2:00 – 3:00 PM
OCTOBER 6, 13, 20, & 27 (4 SESSIONS)
Art journaling can provide multiple
dimensions of fun and creativity,
plus, kids of all ages love it! This class
will include fun art challenges, daily
journaling with pictures or words, and
take-home prompts to practice your
creativity outside of class. Journal
prompts often revolve around topics
that are meaningful and important
Join us for some good old fun making
collages! We’ll make traditional collages
using materials here at the PCA and
students are also invited to bring
in their own pictures to add some
personal touches. We’ll also experiment
with other collage techniques including
3D collage where we use found objects
and other goodies to build a unique
collage sculpture. Anyone can collage,
no art experience necessary!

FIDDLE: LEVEL 1 (K-3rd Grade)

(Class will meet Tuesday November 13
instead of Monday, November 12)
It’s not too early to learn to fiddle! Peg
Willis has been teaching music for over
50 years and works with children in a
small group setting using a well-known
teaching method. Parents should be
prepared to attend each class with their
child and are expected to help their
children practice at home every day.
Consultation with the instructor
(or informed music store staff ) is
recommended BEFORE renting or
purchasing an instrument as proper
sizing can be difficult. Students should
bring a correct sized instrument and
note taking materials. Please email us
with any questions.
