HID is seeking a qualified
individual to fill the posi-
tion of Field Manager. The
FM supervises, motivates
and directs the field crew
in operations and main-
tenance of the irrigation
district system, including
canals, pipelines and Cold
Springs Reservoir. The FM
must be able to operate and
maintain equipment; devel-
op short and long-range
improvement and mainte-
nance goals; participate in
budgeting, cost allocation
and contract negotiations;
respond to concerns, in-
quiries and enforcement is-
sues; communicate, direct
and work effectively with
fellow employees, manag-
ers, and local government
entities. Must live in the
Hermiston area. Must have
or be able to obtain a CDL
and public pesticide appli-
cator’s license. Previous Ir-

This is a ground floor oppor-
tunity for someone with ba-
sic Information Technology
skills. The IT Support Spe-
cialist for EO Media Group
works under the direction
of the IT director to maintain
and trouble shoot comput-
er, network, pre-press and
telephone system issues.
Knowledge of networking
and configuring both Mac
and PC operating systems
is required, as is the ability
to learn and teach usage of
propriety software. This is a
hands-on role, helping staff
overcome IT issues both in
person and by phone. Hours
are generally 8 am to 5 pm
