WEDNESDAY
Stanfield police recognized several sixth grade students with
Hallway Heroes awards. The police department reported this is
part of ongoing efforts to fight bullying at the school. The Hallway
Heroes are students who signed a pledge to stop bullying and have
stepped in to stop a bullying situation and encouraged others to do
the same.
THURSDAY
12:42 a.m. - Callers reported a vehicle with no headlights going
west in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 near Boardman.
9:42 a.m. - A caller on Northeast Barrett Boulevard, Heppner,
reported someone rummaged through his vehicle and stole two
pairs of new sunglasses and left the interior a mess.
11:45 a.m. - Stanfield police received a report of a solicitor
violation on East Harding Avenue.
12:48 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to the 1400 block of
Southwest Ninth Street on a report of an assault.
1:44 p.m. - Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a call
for search and rescue in the area of Cottonwood Creek and
Government Mountain roads, Milton-Freewater.
1:47 p.m. - An intoxicated former employee showed up at a work
site at the Port of Morrow on Lewis and Clark Drive, Boardman, but
then left before law enforcement arrived.
2:30 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of an assault on
the 400 block of Northeast 10th Street.
