Parents should be prepared to attend each class along with their child and are expected to help their children practice at home every day. (AGES 7-12) – a drop-in class! SATURDAYS, 1:00 - 2:00PM APRIL 7TH, 14TH, & 21ST Explore tie dye as we make bright, colorful patterns with quality dyes and cloth. Leave all the prep and materials up to us! Each class we will present different styles and patterns including Shiburi dyeing techniques. Come to one session or join us for all 3! The PCA will provide a white, cotton bandana for each student. Students are encouraged to bring 1 or 2 of their own items to dye; shirts, socks, or another piece of material- as long it’s cotton and a solid, light color. What you bring doesn’t have to be new! In fact, tie- dyeing can be a great way to cover up a stain or bring an old t-shirt new life. $10 PER SESSION LIVE LIFE TO THE Fullest Art can be a powerful activity for older adults. For many seniors art is a lifelong passion, for others, art is a hobby that they never had the time to pursue. No matter the situation, having an art program in your community can contribute substantially to the overall quality of life for Seniors. Creativity and innovation are front and center with this series of projects that mix art with science, technology, engineering, and math. Come explore science and create art with us! $10 PER SESSION CLAY CREATIONS (AGES 7-12) – a drop-in class! with Kate Peck SATURDAYS, 10:15 AM – NOON MAY 5TH – 19TH Drop in to explore clay building! We’ll make pinch pots, slab constructed boxes, free-form sculpture and, if there’s student interest, try out wheel throwing. Students will work in wet clay the first two sessions, and the last session will be reserved for glazing. Clay pieces will be ready to pick up the week after the glazing class. Please wear clothes that can get messy. $10 PER SESSION
