1:05 a.m. - Hermiston police were called to a reported fight
on West Hermiston Avenue.
1:50 a.m. - A report of shots fired at Northwest Overlook
Drive and West Punkin Center Road, Hermiston, was received
by Hermiston police, but no shooter was located.
11:27 a.m. - A resident of East Newport Avenue, Hermiston,
reported a burglary.
1:23 p.m. - A vehicle was reported stolen from a residence
on Southwest Shane Court, Hermiston.
8:47 p.m. - Hermiston police investigated a possible burglary
at a residence on East Gladys Avenue.
10:28 p.m. - An explosion rattled windows in the vicinity of
East Main Street and Newport Park, Hermiston, but Hermiston
officers were unable to locate the source of the disturbance.
TUESDAY
4:15 a.m. - A possible burglary was reported to Hermiston
police by a resident of East Main Street.
7:20 a.m. - A vehicle was broken into on Southwest Sixth
Street, Pendleton.
9:30 a.m. - A resident of Steagall Road, Irrigon, reported to
the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office that someone stole gas from
her vehicles.
9:38 a.m. - A Pendleton High School student reported a theft.
9:56 a.m. - A resident of West Quince Avenue, Hermiston,
reported identity theft.
12:13 p.m. - A woman driving in the 100 block of Southwest
Second Avenue, Milton-Freewater, mistook her accelerator for
her brake pedal and crashed her car into the side of a building.
She was not injured.
12:17 p.m. - A resident of Malcolm Street, Hermiston,
reported his wife took his Smith & Wesson .38 pistol, ammuni-
tion and shoulder holster the previous day. A Umatilla County
sheriff’s deputy took a theft report.
12:43 p.m. - Pilot Rock police received a theft complaint from
a resident of Southwest Third Street.
12:49 p.m. - Theft was reported from a residence on Cecil
Street, Hermiston.
12:53 p.m. - Another burglary was reported in Hermiston, at
a North First Street address.
12:58 p.m. - A semi-truck driver on westbound Interstate
84 took the viewpoint exit at milepost 223 and overturned his
truck due to icy road conditions. The driver was uninjured, but
Oregon State Police cited him for failure to drive within lane.
1:31 p.m. - Umatilla police investigated a reported stolen
vehicle from Powerline and Radar roads, Umatilla.
1:55 p.m. - A man reported the title to his car was stolen in
the 800 block of Lamb Street, Milton-Freewater.
2:20 p.m. - A second vehicle break-in was reported to
Pendleton police by a patron of Dollar Tree, 1700 S.W. Court
Ave.
2:54 p.m. - Another car prowler struck a vehicle at the
Pendleton post office, 104 S.W. Dorion Ave., and took $3,700
in cash from a wallet.
3:46 p.m. - A resident of Vista Park, 1800 N.E. 10th St.,
Hermiston, reported he received a fraudulent check for wood
he was selling on Craigslist.
5:43 p.m. - Hermiston police were called by a woman
who reported her vehicle was hit on South Highway 395
by a red Dodge pickup, and the driver of the pickup was
screaming at her.
5:47 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office responded
to a motor vehicle accident on North Highway 395 near
Umatilla.
10:50 p.m. - Theft was reported by a resident of West
Quince Avenue, Hermiston.
11:20 p.m. - A vehicle was reported rolled over on the
shoulder of eastbound I-84 near Pendleton.
WEDNESDAY
12:53 a.m. - Pilot Rock police were called to a motor vehicle
accident on South Highway 395.
1:53 a.m. - A reportedly intoxicated man was trespassing at
a fuel tank and buildings at Stage Gulch and Kilgore roads near
Pendleton. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office investigated.

•Pendleton police arrested Amos Mitchell Burton, 28, 43702
Jerico Lane, Pendleton, for assault of public safety officer,
resisting arrest and on a felony parole/LSA violation.
•Oregon State Police arrested Jovanny Fernando Gonzalez,
27, of Denver, Colo., on a felony fugitive warrant and felon in
possession of a weapon.
Wednesday
•Scotty Ray Pollard, 43, 104 S.E. Goodwin Ave., Pendleton,
was arrested by Pendleton police for possession and delivery of
methamphetamine, felon in possession of a weapon and on a
felony post-prison supervision sanction.

iston. A graveside committal service will be held Sunday,

Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, in Portland. He was born Feb.
21, 1966. Viewing will be held Saturday, Jan. 6 at 12:30
p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m., at the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Milton-Freewater.
Interment will follow at the Weston Cemetery. Munselle-
Rhodes Funeral Home in Milton-Freewater is in charge of
arrangements.
