game-high 16 points to lead
the Irrigon Knights over the
Stanfi eld Tigers on Thursday
night.
Wyant scored all 16 points
in the second half and added
six rebounds for the Knights
(10-1), while Ana Zacarias
added 10 steals with her
points. Jessica Wallace led the
Tigers (1-11) with 10 points
and made a pair of 3-pointers.
Irrigon’s win did come
with some bad news, though,
as senior guard Alyia Munoz
suffered a broken collarbone
in the fi rst quarter and will
likely miss the remainder
of the season. Star senior
guard Jada Burns also missed
Thursday’s game due to
illness.

— At Portland, the Pendleton
Buckaroos dominated their
competition at the Cleveland
6-way duals on Thursday
going a perfect 5-0 in their
matchups.
First against Clackamas,
Pendleton won the dual 42-36
with the help of four forfeits
by Clackamas. The only
match winners for Pendleton
were Chris Chambers at 132
pounds and Perry Markgraf at
285 pounds.
Then against Mountain-
side, Pendleton won by a
57-18 score where Cezar
Medina at 195 pounds was
the only Buckaroo to lose.
In those matches, Pendleton
won with six wins by fall, one
decision, two technical falls
and two major decisions.
Later against the host
Cleveland, Pendleton again
won by a wide margin at
51-18. Only Caleb Tremper at
113 pounds, Chambers at 132
and Brendon Bedolla at 152
lost their respective matches
for the Buckaroos.
Against
Springfi eld,
Pendleton cleaned up a 60-10
victory with Urbina as the
lone Buckaroo to drop a
match. And fi nally against
Silverton, Pendleton earned a
46-22 victory.
