The City of Boardman, Oregon, invites Bids for the construction
of Water and Sewer System Improvements - 2018. The Work for
this Project involves installation via open trench excavation of
approximately 4,700 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch polyvinyl chloride
(PVC) water pipe, 1,440 LF of 12-inch PVC water pipe, 1,220 LF of
18-inch PVC water pipe, 2,200 LF of 24-inch PVC and ductile iron
water pipe, and 7,500 LF of 30-inch high-density polyethylene
pipe. The Work includes all valves, fire hydrants, water services,
and ancillary equipment; boring under Interstate 84, boring under
the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) line, boring under North Main
Street, and constructing a water line parallel to the railroad tracks
in the UPRR right-of-way (ROW); and connecting the new munic-
ipal water system main line to the City of Boardman’s municipal
water system pump station.
The Work for this Project also includes, but is not limited to, the in-
stallation of approximately 2,200 lineal feet of 8- and 10-inch grav-
ity sewer lines, 6 manholes, and replacing approximately 9 sewer
service line connections, along with related appurtenances and
restoration work, together with all other Work required to complete
the Project as shown on the Drawings and specified herein.
Work shall be completed in the City of Boardman ROW, U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers ROW, UPRR ROW, Bonneville Power Admin-
istration ROW, Oregon Department of Transportation ROW, and
privately owned easements.
Sealed Bids for the described Project will be received by Karen
Pettigrew, City Manager, City of Boardman, Oregon, at City Hall,
200 City Center Circle, Boardman, Oregon 97818, until 2 p.m.,
local time, November 30, 2017, at which time the Bids received
will be publicly opened and read.
The Contract is subject to the applicable provisions of ORS
279C.800 through ORS 279C.870, the Oregon Prevailing Wage
Law.
This Project is being funded by the City of Boardman.
