Theatre performs

PENDLETON — As a
Mexican-American boy,
Tomas Rivera began as a
migrant worker with his
family; he grew up to be an
acclaimed author and poet.
Oregon Children’s Theatre
stages this true story in
“Tomas & the Library Lady.”
A free show will be held on
Saturday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m.
in the Pendleton Center for
the Arts, 214 N. Main St. The
50-minute bilingual play is
recommended for children 5

facilitate “Incredible Years
For Incredible Parenting,” a
free 10-week course held on
Wednesdays from 5:30 to
7:30 p.m. at Hermiston Cen-

class meets on Oct. 4 and
runs through Dec. 13.
