MALCOLM PHINNEY in the East Oregonian Gallery

Malcolm Phinney is a painter and sculptor living in Wallowa
County, which he describes as a “painter’s paradise.” Much
of his work depicts the mountains, canyons, deep forests and
open prairies surrounding his home. New work by Nicole
Sloan on exhibit in the Lorenzen Board Room Gallery.

The EOCENES Live in Concert
Two big nights at 7 pm, doors open at 6:30 pm
Ron Emmons, well known front man for the popular Cab-
bage Hill bluegrass band, brings his EOU classmates Hugh
McClellan, Duane Boyer and Hal Spence back to eastern
Oregon for what’s become a Round Up tradition. There’s
a special synergy that happens between musicians when
they’ve played together for more than 50 years, and this
show exemplifies that. If you appreciate authentic bluegrass,
masterful musicianship, and a space with great acoustics,
you’ll love this performance - and so will your Round Up
guests. This event is made possible every year through the
generous support of Dr. Cynthia Holmes. Tickets $12

American author and educator, Tomás Rivera to life in an
engaging bi-lingual performance. Made possible through the

This dynamic trio features the classic combination of solo
instruments like Highland bagpipes, uilleann pipes, whistles
and fiddle. Their driving, hard-edged arrangements of Celtic
jigs and reels lend a contemporary feel while celebrating the
rousing energy that fans love about Celtic music.

Blake is one of the great voices in modern bluegrass.
Together with Ellie Hakanson & Isaac Callender the trio per-
forms bluegrass, gospel, & country with a fresh perspective
on traditional favorites. Great harmony singing combined
with stellar instrumental ability make this group a must see
for acoustic music fans.

Allen’s book excavations are some of the most interesting
and thought provoking sculptural works you’ll see. As he cuts
his way through the pages, he selectively keeps fragments of
images and words, allowing artistic compositions to emerge.
